It's very quiet on here, I was looking at the last time anything was posted on the forums, it was quite a while ago. I've noticed that there is no longer a link to the forums from the NWHA home page maybe thats what it is, or maybe not.

Hope the forum picks up a little during the year as it is a very good idea for the forums to be active for any new members that find it.

I cannot believe (but i do!) the amounts that MPs are claiming to furnish their second homes. Don't they realise how lucky they are to get a home, let alone a second one in these times. And the money they are spending on plasma tvs, leather rocking chairs, cleaning swimming pools!

There are empty tower blocks in London - why can't the government make use of those and use them as halls of residence for MPs - then give them what Income support gave my daughter to furnish her 2 bedroom NWHA ...

Message from the Ambulance Service

We all carry our mobile phones with names & numbers stored in its memory.

If we were to be involved in an accident or were taken ill, the people attending us would have our mobile phone but wouldn't know who to call.

Yes, there are hundreds of numbers stored but which one is the contact person in case of an emergency? Hence this 'ICE' (In Case of Emergency) Campaign.

The concept of 'ICE' is catching on quickly. It is a method of contact ...

Hi there!

I've been a tenant for some years now and i'm not really happy about where i live. Ive had a look on your website about the possibility of perhaps a home exchange with another tenant, but i was just wondering how i go about actually getting on the list?

Do i need to come to Plas Blodwel or can i just email you my details etc? Also, how can i see who i can swap with?

Any help would be great!

Got our first election leaflet today - that means we will soon be pestered by people knocking at all sorts of annoying times - usually when you've just got the kids in the bath, or you're on the loo! They all start promising the earth and then after the election where do they all disappear to? It's as if they escape from the planet Zog for a couple of weeks, and then their master calls them back after the election.

But I must say there are exceptions and some good councillors out there ...

At the moment there are problems in Old Colwyn with underage drinking, with kids as young as 12 getting alcohol and drinking in parks or under bridges etc. They are often getting adults to buy the drinks for them or taking it from home. When the Police see their parents they very often get a complete lack of interest and comments such as “ go and catch some real criminals”, or “he’s only hanging out with his mates”. If parents have that attitude, what hope have the kids got! But we have to ...
